I can connect to my iPhone's internet with one click from my Mac. I can send and receive SMS messages. I can make phone calls. I can send stuff to my phone with Airdrop. I can continue an email or document I was writing, or go straight to the iBooks page I was reading on my phone. All from my Mac.

But when I need my actual phone—quickly, why is there no convenient way to find it? Why no simple way to make it play a sound at the click of a button?

It seems like such an obvious feature.

Come on Apple. I don't wanna have to wait for 10.11/iOS 9 for this :(

P.S., full Find My iPhone features in Maps app would be great. iCloud.com should only be needed when I'm not using an Apple device

You can accomplish this with find my iPhone though? Not sure i see the need, but i guess it would be cool to have a speedier option.

I agree a simple way to do that would be nice.

For now, If you have goolge voice, you can call you're phone using gmail. You can also use you're ipad to call you're phone using facetime (if you have one).

Not a simple solution, but both have found my phone a number of times.
