Just looking at the apple siri page...

http://www.apple.com/iphone/features/siri.html

If you look at the last siri demo "ask siri about siri" it shows that maps and directions are "US only". Anyone else a little disappointed? Am sure Apple will add UK and other places later but would have been nice if we had got this function from the start. Will still be getting a iPhone 4s though!

That's why they call it a beta, so they can just add stuff as they go along I guess. I'm not too bothered, I'm not sure how much I will use it anyway yet.

Well I for one use my free sat nav app anyway for directions

Perhaps Siri has problems recognising "how do I get home" with an English accent when your drunk.

A Brummie trying to get a cup of tea might end up with this...

^^ Haha. Yes. I live in Dudley and I fear Siri won't work for 99% of the population here.

Ordering a tie might get you a toy. I have taken someone shopping and they needed to buy a tie, they were confused when I took them to Toys 'r' Us in Oldbury, they did asks me to take them to a "toy shop".

Might work with me being a posh git and not from the area.

Not at all interested in Siri, another US gimmick along with Facetime ( which i've never used )

It'll be fun to let my daughter text her mother simply by talking to my iPhone though, that'll be cute.

:)
