NO Sound after iOS 6 upgrade

I recently upgraded my iPad2 to the latest operating system version (iOS 6). However, the major problem is that there is no sound. How may I fix this problem?

I had that happen after the iOS 5 upgrade but it started working after I powered the phone off and back on.

Is your iPad on mute?
The mute toggle of your iDevice works differently with iOS 6, and it’s up to developers to fix it

I was so worried when every single setting troubleshooting did not fix this problem on my iPad2 ... so glad I found this solution. It worked and I am back to normal.
