No sound after Time Machine restore? Other profiles have sound?

Hello,

I had one user profile set up on our family iMac. I recently added to more user profiles via a Time Capsule migration. The original user profile has sound, but the two 'migrated' accounts have no sound?

I zapped the p-ram, restored permissions, updated all software, etc...


Any ideas??

I just had to restore after a HD failure. The same thing happened.

Do you have a USB audio device, like an iMic or a USB headset?

Make sure the Internal Speakers are set as the default Audio out device.

It ended up working when I unplugged my magic jack.
