So, a friend of mine had an old, abused iPhone 3G and didn't want it anymore, so he gave it to me. The power button was completely collapsed. So I figured I might as well have some fun with it and tear it apart and fix it. Really had nothing to lose.
So anyhow. Got the phone apart, fixed the power button with a little custom shim, but now, after getting it all back together, I've got no sound from the bottom speaker.
It's not the ol' headphone jack confusion as it's not showing me "headphones" when increasing the ringer volume. Did a couple tests with Voice Memo and the earpiece speaker is working fine, albeit rather quiet compared to my 4.
Advice/hints/ideas anyone?
