Hi,
Got new iPhone 14 Pro 256Gb yesterday via the Apple Update Program in UK.
Discovered this morning that the alarm sounds are not coming from the iPhone internal speaker as they should when I have bluetooth headphones attached. Tried with both Beats Flex and Airpod Pros. In both cases, the alarm only sounds through the headphones themselves. This is a big issue for me, as I sleep at night with my Beats Flex on, but I need to be able to hear my phone alarm in the morning when, typically, the Beats have fallen out of my ears in my sleep.
I've had a succession of iPhones going back years, including iPhone 13 Pro until yesterday when swapped for the new iP14Pro.
Been on the phone to Apple Support all morning. Diagnostics show no hardware issues. I have DFU Updated phone via Macbook, and issue still occurs. I then DFU Restored phone back to factory default and without restoring from backup in case there were issues with the backup itself, and still the issue persists.
So now I have an Express Replacement via Applecare+ due in the next few days, although it could be weeks given shortage of new iPhone 14 Pros...
So, my concern is that this is not an issue with my device itself - there's nothing else wrong with the phone, speakers etc, but an inherent issue with either iPhone 14s in general, or iOS 16 itself, or a combo of the two. I have the latest ios 16.0.1 installed.
Keen to see if anyone else has this same problem, or can confirm that they don't..
