Thought I'd post a thread about this, in case anyone has any insight that i might have missed.

As per the title, I set up my AVP yesterday, and quickly realized that no sound was coming from the built in speakers. I tried to find all the possible volume controls and cranked them up. Looked around in the settings for any possible sound killers. Restarted the device a bunch of times, both a regular restart and a forced restart.

I tried my Beats Studio earbuds, and they work, although the sound is really low in volume, much too low, even with everything cranked up.

So, before returning these, wanted to know if anyone knows about any hidden "mute switch" or similar i might have missed?

There are a few ways you can adjust the volume on Apple Vision Pro. at the top of your view while turning the Digital Crown. Open Control Center, then drag the volume slider. next to the volume slider, then drag the volume sliders you want to adjust.

You can also ask Siri to turn the volume up.

Yes, figured that out right away. That doesn't fix it.

It's not just movies, anything that is supposed to make sound, doesn't.

Have you tried disconnecting the speakers and reconnecting them? Sounds like they may not have initialized.

If you are thinking of returning them because of the speakers not working, shouldn't you be contacting Apple support and asking them if there is any hidden mute switch or similar first instead of making a thread in here. Just a thought.

It is a new product, not every VP owner is going to have an MR account so the chances of a MR member who bought a VP having exactly the same problem as you is going to be very very remote. Hence why contacting Apple support first is the most logical step, don't you think?

How do I do that? There's no way to detach them as far as I can tell.

I've also contacted apple support, of course. Should have mentioned that. Just casting this out to different places to see if anyone knows anything about this.

What did Apple say? I would think it is an instant PEBKAC fix or an instant return/replace. Not an MR thread.
