I have the latest updates of the system software and every time I reboot I have no sound. I have to open the system preferences and the control panel sound and restore the original settings.
Every time I reboot the settings are changed. The output is set to CD Spin Doctor Capture Support instead of the built-in speakers. It looks like one kext of Toast Titanium is incompatible with 10.6.6. Can anyone give me advice how to solve this problem?
TIA

Run disk utility and verify permissions as always. Delete the system sound preference it will have a name like com.apple. sound something or another.

Cheers
