No sound in game app after receiving a call

For some reason, when I am playing a game, the sounds are fine and I can hear it, but then someone calls me in the middle of the game, so I accept the call, afterwards when I go back to that particular game, there is no sound! My phone is not on silent, I am not using any headphones, the volume setting in the game itself is on, and the volumes in the phones settings is not muted. When I go to the game itself and try to turn up the volume via the buttons on the sides, there is still no sound

The only solution I have been able to find so far is to turn off the phone and turn it back on, but I was wondering if there was a different way around this problem.

I've had the same problem. A better solution is just to close out the app and then re-launch it. While its much faster then turning off the phone completely, still looking for an easier solution.
