I take a lot of pictures and videos and have recently wanted to put a movie together. Naturally, I wanted to put a movie together using my MacBook Pro. I open IMovie and I've messed around with it before so i know what to do- drag and drop the videos into IMovie.

Well now when i Drag and Drop, it uploads however the sound does not make it to IMovie. When I play it in IMovie I am unable to hear the audio from the film clip.

the film clips are .mpg if that has anything to do with it. Ive checked and yes, the sound is on and up. I am able to watch the film clips with no problem using quicktime. Thanks and please help!

MPG files will not play audio in iMovie without getting the MPG codec.
