No Sound on my PowerBook 12"!!

My powerbook 12" sound has suddenly disappeared.

this is symbol appeares when i press the F4 or F5 button:

So i tried to fix the problem in the system pref. but this is what i get:

i never had this problem before...

please help, cause iTunes won't play any song either.

I would suggest, first reparing permissions. If that doesn't work, reinstall the OS. Afterthat your are SOL.

somehowe, it fxed itself.

Dont know how, but i put the osx install cdr in my PB, and BAM, it was fixed.

It just needed some mac-love, i think.

did you plug an external jack plug recently? sometimes the little contact inside the female plug get stuck and the sound is off.

My PB does this every once in a while. I have no idea why, but a simple restart usually fixes the problem.
