No sound or haptic feedback for messages?

Hi, my series 5 is not alerting me when I receive messages either by sound or haptic and it doesn’t make a difference if the phone is in silent mode or not. I get calls with haptic and other alerts but just not messages? I tried restarting watch and phone as well as unpairing and repairing. Do I need to setup my watch as new?

I have tried both mirror and custom and get the same results.

I just figured it out it was because my sound profile in the settings for the phone was set to “None” once turned on it works just fine. Thanks
