No sound, stuck on headphones

I have no sound, unless I have headphones plugged in.
Now when I unplug them and adjust the volume it still says Headphones.
So I can't hear the clicks when I type or hear for instance Pandora unless I have headphones plugged in.

I have reset the settings and that didn't work either. Can anyone help me?

Did you try hard starting your iPad -- press down both power and home buttons together until iPad shuts off, then start it up.
