So, when I hit the change sound button I don't hear the little sound I used to hear...I lent it to my sister so Idk what she did, however, when I change it on the top part of my screen, it does sound
anyone knows what might have happened?
thanks in advance!

I think the OP is saying how when you change the sound on your laptop, you normally hear that little blip sound, every time you press it indicating your change in volume. However now he can still change the sound, but the buttons aren't making that blip sound when he presses them.

Am I correct in assuming that is your problem OP?

Go to the :apple: menu > System Preferences > Sound > check the box labeled "Play feedback when volume is changed".

Alternatively you can hold down the Shift key while pressing the volume keys to temporarily toggle whether you can hear the 'blips' or not.
