No sound when receiving iMessage, just me???

Hi all, I'm a little stumped on this and would love some help.

Whenever I send a text/iMessage to my wife, she does not receive a notification sound. It's only when I send. This does not happen when her colleagues at work or her friends send her texts. I receive her text and notifications fine. Any idea what's going on?

Perhaps she has the conversation with you (accidentally?) set to Do Not Disturb in Messages (there would be a small crescent moon next to the conversation in the Messages app). Or perhaps she has an individual alert tone set up associated with your contact and for some reason that alert tone isn't playing back correctly.

I just tried checking all the settings again on her phone and everything seems fine.

I erased message from my phone and computer and stared a new iMessage thread and found out another little tidbit. When I send a message from my phone it plays the sound. When I send from Mac or iPad no sound.....strange.
