The phone always thinks the headphones are plugged in.

Headphone audio is ok.

Tried resetting all settings in general>reset

Tried rebooting the phone. Also plugged the headphones in and out a bunch.

No help.

Everything else seems ok.

Its a first gen iphone on tmobile.

Same thing happened to me. The first I knew about it was when I got a call (the ringtone worked!) but couldn't hear anything said on the line

Turning it off/on didn't help, nor did plugging in and removing the headphones again. However, when I plugged the headphones in, played music and then used the headphone clicky thing to pause the music, then unplugged the headphones, the speaker started working again. Try something like that, it might fix it...

Thanks, I got it working by playing music and plugging in and out several times.
