We've been with Verizon for quite some time, but I'm finding myself a bit frustrated with them as we are ready to upgrade to new phones and they have no deals for existing customers who don't have a trade-in deemed a certain value.

We have 4 kids - 2 of which have phones - so we have 4 phones total in our house right now - 4 iPhone SE's (gen 1). They apparently aren't worth a trade in.

Am I better off switching to a new carrier? Or will I run into the same issue? Do you find going into a Verizon store is more helpful than online help?

We're open to buying 4 new iPhone 12's, but not at full price when they're offering so many deals otherwise.

Any advice you can give will be appreciated!

You’ll have the same valuation elsewhere. I loved my old SE but people outside off die hard fans don’t want them.

Even Apple won’t give much trade in for one.

That's a super big bummer. So places aren't really offering other deals outside of a trade-in huh?

T-Mobile is offering $380 (24 months of bill credits) for 1st gen SE. You’ll have to research your area’s T-mobile coverage though.

The thing with trade in is that they sell to other companies doing „refurbish“ and sell afterwards.
but a 5year old iphone is worth almost nothing as u can see on ebay. Definitely not worth for them...
