Oh ok, Great. I plan on buying the SS version and read some misleading comment here on the forum that claimed there was no SS model

What’s the price of the 42mm SS Model?

Wondering the same.. Not sure why the price was not announced for the SS, maybe price is on the high end?

That’s bad news if that’s the case, I wouldn’t want to pay more than 600

Pretty sad that the cheapest SS here in the UK is £699 for a 40mm with sport strap. I remember paying £559 for my Milanese loop series 0 :( Plus I already have a white sport strap so I'm going to have to sell the strap it comes with! Seems crazy you can't just buy the watch itself without a strap given its the 4th iteration...

.... All of the new prices are tough to accept.

Seems dumb that you HAVE to have cellular with the SS model even if your carrier doesn’t support it. Your paying 100 quid more for something you cannot use.

Yeah I hate the price jump for people that don't plan on using cellular.

Comes with the stainless Milanese loop so yea that costs more
That’s not true, the 44mm stainless Steel model comes with a RUBBER sports band, not a Milanese loop band and costs 749$, very expensive to be honest.

You likely saw the headline that said there is no non-cellular stainless steel model.

lol just saw it, $749 for the 44mm SS

Woah! The SS was already grossly overpriced! And so they add $100?!

I love Apple, and I am willing to pay for quality and nice things, but they are crossing the limits of reasonable with the pricing of their products the last couple of years.

This is a hard pill to swallow, I haven’t even sold my SS Series 3 which would probably sell for peanuts (350?) but having to spend 749+ tax for the 44mm SS with sports band is quite pricey(Who in their right mind would get the 40mm model after owning a 42mm Model so it kinda forces you to get the most expensive configuration yet again)

I’m sure the watch is high quality and is worth it just as it was the previous gen models and I’m probably still buying the SS 44MM regardless.

Yea, the increase in price has pushed me to stay with my SS S3 for another year. I had the SS S0, SS S2 (bought for GPS and Swim workouts), and now the SS S3 (bought for LTE), but I don't think the added bonuses of the SS S4 warrants the new watch. I think I can wait for either a sale or for the next year model.

I also would never get the non SS models as I would be too worried about scratching the aluminum or breaking the ion glass. I have had some hard hits with the SS and have been so happy how the SS held up (I somehow swing my arms into concrete walls more times than I care to admit)

Is the Sapphire not as bright and crisp as the ion X glass as in the past?

I didnt see many details or comparisons of that in any of the videos I watched by MKHBD, ijustine, etc.

I would guess so. It's not like they can change physics. But I will say that the difference is only noticeable in a side-to-side comparison. If you get the SS, I guarantee you won't notice the difference after a day (your eyes adjust).

Feeling pretty crushed by the price too ... can’t use it for cellular.

May have to just by a series 3 and move on for now :(
If you were wanting a series 3 stainless steel, you better keep wishing. Only aluminum S3 are for sale now. Unless you can find a third party vendor.
