Oh well, made a little phone call to the Apple folks here in UK and if you want to order yourself a copy of Leopard, you need to shell out the full £ 85.
NO STUDENT DISCOUNT like in the US of A.

Don't UK students normally have to order via their college or university to get the software discount?

How did you get to this order pane?

Go to http://www.apple.com/ukstore and then click on the education store link on the left. You need to be using one of your university computers (or at least a computer connected to your university network) and click on the Apple Store for Higher Education and then just go to Leopard as you would in the normal Apple online store.
