Ok, so I was working in Fireworks, and I mis-pressed some keyboard shortcut. Then, there appears a "No" symbol (like No smoking, etc) indicator with letter message "Banned" on the screen, and quickly disappeared.

It is the same place and style as the volume meter indicator.
Looks like this: http://grab.by/77iq

If anyone can let me know what I have actually "banned," I'd be very grateful.
Thanks.

btw, this is not a start issue. I just want to know what I had done.

Most likely you pressed one of the buttons to adjust the keyboard backlight brightness (F5 and F6, I think), and since it wasn't dark enough for the backlight to be on, it gave you that symbol, which is standard behavior. So you didn't cause anything to be "banned", but it was telling you that you couldn't do that right then.
