No text messaging?

While trying to order my iPhone 3GS off Apple's website, I noticed that not only does it say "No Text Plan", but there isn't a way to add texts? What gives?

You have to work with AT&T on the data plan, texting plan and cell phone plan....

When your account is set up, log into www.wireless.att.com to be able to edit these features.

Yup, b/c you need to first activate it via iTunes....

I just found out that I'm under a family plan with unlimited texts, so it looks like I don't have to worry.
