My old 12" PowerBook recently failed to shut down properly and overheated leaving the trackpad completely dysfunctional. I get no response from the trackpad or from plugging in an external mouse; as far as I can tell, everything else but the trackpad is working fine still. Here's my problem: I am selling this computer (for someone to get some parts if nothing else) and need to clean up the hard drive before I give it to its next owner. I can restart the computer with the restore cd in it, hold down the 'c' key, and thereby get it to boot from the restore cd; however, once i am in the restore setting, I cannot select any options without a mouse - that is, I can't figure out how to go through those selections only using the keyboard. For example, on the first screen, I can highlight US English as my language using the arrow keys, but I cannot move on to the next screen by hitting the select button. Does anyone know how I can do this only using my keyboard??
