Something is going on with the Ultra trail loop bands since there is no in store availability either for the separate bands or the Watch with those bands. Amazon also shows no availability. Anyone knows what’s happening?

I noticed the alpine loops don't ship for 4-5 weeks and the trail loops 8-10 weeks (in Canada at least).

I would suspect that these are the loops everyone wanted. So, for that reason, they are all on backorder.

My Ultra with trail loop is 4-5 weeks on backorder. I may just go pick up a watch at the Apple store today, but I realize I will have to settle for a band I don't want.

I ordered it as a separate line item on pre-order day with my Ultra and Alpine loop. At that time it said delivery would be late October. However, since then, the date has slipped to November.

Yes, the Trail ones seemed to be almost immediately on a very long lead-time. Which is weird for a watch-strap, you'd have thought this sort of thing would be the easiest for Apple to produce in large quantities at the moment unless there's shortages of something used in them?

There are still some cities in China on Covid lockdown. Perhaps the manufacturer(s) are in those areas causing manufacturing delays that Apple can’t determine how long it may be to get back up to speed.

The Trail Loop availability, both band and watch combo, were delayed a month from the start. They were never available for the AWU launch, only weeks later. Possible reasons include:

1. Issues at factory, mechanical or personnel (COVID, for example)
2. Original production lot was spoiled
3. Late add to the exclusive AWU band portfolio
4. Issues with the raw materials used in the initial band production ; didn’t pass Apple QC, wrong dye colors, etc.

I was thinking to cancel my ultra with trail loop order, but i dont like any of the other options so im just gonna wait.

I doubt this is the reason, but I noticed that each of the three band types is getting its own special packaging. I wonder if the photoshoot for the Trail packaging hadn't completed yet. :)

The Trail bands we hardly available, period. I cancelled my first Ultra because it was going to delay my watch and ordered with the green Alpine, to arrive today. I doubt I will be using the Alpine band and will try my series 7 Apple leather link band.

Noticed today that the M/L black/grey is showing available for in-store pick-up December 13th. Los Angeles area.

The trail loop race I have is if the Apple Blue trail loop will be delivered before the AliExpress Black trail loop.

I managed to swap my launch day Ultra with the orange Alpine Loop yesterday for one with the blue/grey Trail Loop. I actually wanted the black/grey trail loop but I’m fine with the blue/grey. I’ve got the black/grey on order for early to mid November delivery.

The alpine loop looks awesome. That’s the one I would get.
Out of experience I can tell you it is really nice to wear and very very light. AWU with Alpine loop is only 5 grams heavier than a 44mm AW with a sports band.
Also ignore the people that say it is hard to put on. After a few days you get the hang of it and it is quick and easy!

trail loop with AWU showing available for ISP at BK in Williamsburg when I checked few mins ago
