I am trying to use Maps on an iPhone 4S with iOS6. The routes are running, but there is no voice output, either to the phone's speakers or to the bluetooth system in my car (which does connect for Siri and the Phone app). Anyone know how to fix this?

Edit: FWIW, the ringer is on and the volume is set at max within the Maps app.

Siri's voice volume, by chance?

Activate Siri and check it's volume.

There is also a setting in "Settings -> Maps" which controls the turn by turn voice volume. Perhaps it is switched off for some reason?

Edit. Never mind. Just read the last sentence of your post. Sorry

I've tried both normal and loud. Just noticed that Siri is on English (US) but I'm on a map of a Canadian location. I'll try the Canadian English Siri.

Edit: that did it, but I changed back and it made no difference. I'm in a different vehicle, so maybe it's my car, which is linked to my phone by Bluetooth (maybe Siri is working over BT but Maps is not - I will try it again later).

If you get any kind of audio via Bluetooth then it's not your car.

Are you sure you're not in a non turn-by-turn supported country?

These are the ones that are supported:

Argentina Austria Belgium Bulgaria Canada Croatia Czech Republic Denmark Estonia Finland France Germany Greece Hong Kong Hungary Ireland Israel Italy Japan Latvia Liechtenstein Lithuania Luxembourg Malta Mexico Netherlands New Zealand Norway Poland Portugal Romania Russia San Marino Singapore Slovakia Slovenia South Korea Spain Sweden Switzerland Turkey UK Ukraine USA Australia Brunei Egypt Macau Malaysia Morocco South Africa Taiwan Thailand

I'm in Canada.

I found a way to make it work by using BT as my audio source. But I don't need to do that to use the phone or Siri. Must be a glitch with the version of BT my car uses.
