No Vibrate When in Sleep Mode (texts)

I looked around the forum a little bit and couldnt find anything, so i am sorry if this is a repost. BUT does anyone else have the problem of the phone not vibrating while in sleep mode? I have vibrate turned on when silent, and the phone is in silent mode, hopefully i am just missing something, does anyone have any suggestions or help that they could possibly lend me. Thanks

No worries. My sister in law came to my house from 2 hours away cause she knew I am an Apple nerd. She said since getting iOS 6 her phone wasn't beeping for texts. First thing I notice is the crescent moon at the top of her phone.
