When i tap on the voicemail part of the phone it rings up a number, and i thought that it was supposed to bring up visual voicemail, do us O2 users not get visual voicemail or am i doing something wrong ?

if you upgraded recently, it can take 24-48 hours for your new contract, and therefore visual voicemail, to start working

phone up o2 to ask them to enable it
works fine for me

 i've had the phone since 11TH July, they did ring up ages ago and it turned out that they were charging me for internet , they asked if voicemail was working and i told them no, guess i'll have to ring up again :(

sounds like you are not on an iPhone plan. Call O2 and get put on the iPhone plan. Your visual voicemail should be working.

odd. i got mine on the 11th, and it works fine, and havent been charged for internet

give them a call, frustrating, but if you want it...

oh and check o2 online and ensure your bill shows your on the iphone tariff

They did and i've sorted out the internet now they must know i'm on a iphone contract cause they tried to sell me insurance over the phone before i even mentioned it was an iphone i had

it just say O2 35 18 month, and under recent charges i have £7.50 for data
Whats going on ?, should i call up ?

you were right, i was on the wrong contract, but i've sorted it now, should be fixed by tomorrow at the latest they said,
Thanks for your advice

I this this is unacceptable, imagine people don't have data plan, how much charge they will get from O2
