I've moved all my iPhoto events to Photos Albums only to realize that there is not sort by date option. There is a sort by name but no date option. I'm hoping I'm missing something but I don't think so.
BTW...for those of you with large iPhoto events you can select all and then select move them out of iPhoto events folder. They will then show up as albums in Photos.
