"No Wi-Fi" after unlocking

I activated my iPhone (in the UK) but anySIM failed and gave a few errors, everything worked fine (Wi-Fi, youTube etc) apart from the phone was still locked to AT&T. I restored to 1.0.2 and tried again, anySIM worked and now everything works fine apart from Wi-Fi, in the settings menu Wi-Fi is greyed out so I can't even get to the settings for it.
I have restored again and again and it makes no difference, I have left my phone off and on charge all night as advised my a few people (although I don't see how that might help) and it made no difference.
Has anyone else had this problem and managed to fix it? Thanks

Please does anyone have any advice? I'm in the uk so I can't return it, and edge just really isn't fast enough and is very expensive to use

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!
