'No Wi-Fi Hardware' After Mojave Install

So, I get the 'No Wi-Fi Hardware Detected' after the Mojave install, all the way up to 10.14.5. Yes, I’ve tried the posted fix, trouble is, I don’t have the /etc/sysctl.conf file on my machine to delete. Anything else I could try?

If you haven't already, completely turn off the computer and reboot.

If that doesn't work, try a SMC reset and if that doesn't work, a NVRAM reset.

Thanks, but the NVRAM and SMC have been reset multiple times with respect to another problem... booting into safe mode didn’t help, either
