no www causes errors on iWeb site.

for some reason if I publish my site using iWeb and go to the site without typing www. before the url name it makes it so several things break. The header menu doesn't work, no drop shadows, no fx of any kind...blog entries don't work.....yet its fine on iPhone, iPad, Chrome, and Firefox. Anyone know, is this a Lion, a Safari 5.1 or a known safari issue? My other site was done in iWeb and I've never had this happen...but I've also never updated it since installing lion.

Any help would be great!

Also, if there is no way to get this to work, does anyone know how to redirect any traffic not including www to www?
