Hello MacRumors-ers,
I have done my research - and have seen other similar topics - most buzzing with noise-cancelling headphones is due to grounding issues. (3-prong plug when charging fixes this in some cases.)
HOWEVER, I am experiencing buzzing:
1. Loudest when my computer is charging (3-prong plug) and hooked to external display.
2. Still loud, but not as loud, in same situation above without external monitor.
3. (THIS IS WHERE IT GETS WEIRD) Nothing plugged in to it, just headphones.... still hear a very faint buzzing until i "ground" it by putting a hand on the computer.
Hardware: Late 2011 17" MBP, Monster Inspiration headphones, Gateway XHD3000 monitor.
Any ideas would be appreciated... thanks!
(Also not a complete macrumors forum newbie, but I do not have access to the email I signed up with and can't remember the password for my original user name... so my forum karma is not all "take" ! I have given ! )
