What are the best Noise Cancelling Headphones for the money?

I don't personally care for noise canceling headphones and instead opted for "in ear monitors" which block out noise but do not actively cancel it. The etymotic ER-6i set is the pair I use the most. ER-4p sound even better but don't find myself using them as much. I use mine mostly in airplanes and they block out nearly all the noise, to the point where I am frequently surprised to find the flight attendant resorting to hand waving to get my attention for the in flight snack.

The isolation lets you play at a much lower volume and treat your ears a little better. That makes a big difference for me.

ER-6i can be had for around $85 last time I checked. You'd be hard pressed to find better sound for the money.
