I am considering the purchase of a Mac Server (32 GB, 2 quad core) and live in a reasonable small townhouse. If my intention is to run this 24x7, and deploy Rails applications (non-graphic intensive) to it, would the noise levels be reasonable enough to be able to ignore it?

I am comparing this to borrowing a server in the Cloud and am not sure which way to go. Cloud servers appear to be comparatively expensive but relieves one of noise levels to be tolerated and/or maintenance headaches.

Thoughts?

Mac Pros are pretty quiet. Unlike the XServes. Those things were LOUD.
