I have just got an imac and have no problems so far but had not used my dvd drive to burn so did a test burn on a dvd. The noise was unbelievable!! It was like a rattling noise. It does not make this noise when reading cd or dvd and when accepting or ejecting discs it is an acceptable level but can this really be normal or is there a fault with my mac or drive?
