Hey all, awhile ago I posted about a high pitched noise that I thought was cpu whine, well Here I am, about 3 Months after it had initially started, It did stop for awhile and now its back. This time around though, I noticed that it only does it when I use the trackpad, In the time that it had stopped doing it, I had purchased a mighty mouse, and since it started doing it again, about 3 or 4 days ago, I noticed that it only does it when i use the trackpad and not the mouse. If it helps any, it is a bluetooth mouse.

If anyone has any ideas or suggestions please post,

Thanks a bunch,

James

I've done a little research and it seems like the most common reason for whining are the cooling fans. could be that they are over revving or something like that. most likely not a DIY fix. Assuming that your computer is still in warranty (which it most likely is) I would contact apple customer care. Describe the issue to them and they'll most likely have you send it in. I've had nothing but good (and fast) experiences with apple service. Best of luck!

If you can reproduce the noise in store (it'll be loud in there, good look!!) I'm sure they'll do something about it.
