Noisy Fan on MBP Retina, 13-inch, Late 2013

Hi Folks,

Any help with what i can do as per the above title would be appreciated. The fan is making a rather lot of noise as if a bearing has worn out. Is this something I can replace or should I take it back to Apple? Many thanks for any help in advance. Cheers.

does it rev up and down sometimes, or something you always hear?

Hey thanks for the reply. No it doesn't rev up and down, it is constant and doesn't sound as though the fan is working hard, more like the fan is worn out? Do you know if it is possible to replace the fan?

not sure, sounds like it is a defective or worn fan though if constant

is it under warranty, have you tried apple?

pop the back off and use compressed air to blow out the dust, hair, and other stuff that may be clogging up the fan. Tutorials are available online.

Out of warranty but will get in touch with apple if it persists. Thanks.
