Anyone been able to successfully sync a Nokia E52 phone with the OS X Address Book via iSync? Currently there's no official isync plugin from Nokia, only these two third party ones that I know about:

This free one created by a user which I couldn't get to work.

And this paid one I'd rather not buy without confirmation that it actually works.

Thanks....

It works but not the way the creator says...follow these steps instead of the others...

unzip the file and rename the folder to "Nokia-E52.phoneplugin".

Then open finder (isync is not running of course), go to Applications and right click on iSync.

Then go to "Show Package Contents".

Then "Contents...Plugins...ApplePhoneConduit.syncdevice...Contents...Plugins...and place the folder in there (you will see the other phone plugins in there).

Open iSync once, quit it and then setup your E52 through the bluetooth (if you already have it setup, remove it and redo it).

Open iSync and the phone is there!!! Good luck and if you have any questions, please ask me. :)

Hi,

It doesn't work for me.

I downloaded the file here: http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/showthread.php?p=39485762
Ranamed it as "Nokia-E52.phoneplugin"

And placed it in: "Contents...Plugins...ApplePhoneConduit.syncdevice...Contents...Plugins..." in the package content.

My E52 is correctly paired with my macbook (I can transfer files)
But I stil can't add it in Isync.

Thanks for your help.

isync still not working with nokia e52

Hi OR
downloaded the nokia plug for E52 per your advice of 26 Nov successfully. Somehow the program still doesnt integrate in the Isync menu of My Mac book Pro and doesnt recognize my E52
Did it work your side and if so how?

Hi, yes I had the same experience. I posted the last message before trying it, naively assuming that if Nokia released an official E52 plugin, that might mean it would work. I also didn't get the phone recognised, so went back to using the 3rd party plugin from the hardwarezone site linked to in the first post.

not there yet

tx for prompt reply OR
unfortunately Murphy now hits mly isync, I cannot remove my old sync apparatus, remove in the menu shows in grey; I tried to restart the whole sync story but also that didnt help; any suggestion on how to activate removal?
