Nomad today announced the launch of the MagSafe Mount Stand, a new MagSafe charging accessory that's designed to integrate with Apple's MagSafe Charger.

Like Nomad's prior MagSafe Mount accessory, the MagSafe Stand is a holder for the MagSafe Charger rather than a standalone charging option. It is an upright stand with a cutout for the MagSafe Charger and a space to route the cord behind it.

The MagSafe Mount Stand is made from a dark gray aluminum material, and it is heavy enough to keep the MagSafe Charger well secured on a desk. An iPhone 12 used with the MagSafe Mount Stand can be oriented upright in either portrait or landscape mode, and the MagSafe Charger is held in place with microsuction.

Apple's MagSafe Charger is able to charge the iPhone 12 models at 15W (though the iPhone 12 mini is limited to 12W) so long as the proper 20W+ power adapter is supplied. You will need to supply your own MagSafe Charger and power adapter with the MagSafe Mount Stand.

The MagSafe Mount Stand can be purchased from the Nomad website for $59.95.

So it’s $100 with the MagSafe. Before your marketing team comes up with a product and pricing, don’t let them have any mind altering stimulants. $60 for a holder. I got one on Amazon that looks great, does the same thing, and cost $12. Sorry, mine actually looks better.

$60 for that little piece of aluminum and you have to supply your own charger? Hard pass. 🤣
I totally agree. $60 is an outrageous price for that thing that does nothing except prop up your phone. They should lower the price point to about $15 to $20 which would still be high considering the function that the device provides, but is at a more acceptable range.

I’ve got a version of this for my Apple Watch charger. 6 bucks on Amazon. I’m sure the eventual MagSafe version will run 15. Get bent, Nomad. Only Apple gets to charge ridiculously high prices for their accessories with a straight face.

As long as there is a phone on it i think it looks ok.. But with the phone off seeing that white magsafe in the middle would drive me crazy 😂
The obvious solution is that you simply need to buy a second phone to keep on the stand when you're using your primary phone, to avoid the unsightly MagSafe puck. Problem solved. You're welcome.
