Nomad today updated its popular Stand One and Stand One Max chargers to add Qi2 support. Qi2 allows compatible iPhones to charge at up to 25W, matching the 25W charging speed of Apple's newest MagSafe chargers.

The $119 Stand One can charge an iPhone at up to 25W using the iPhone charging surface, and it can also charge the AirPods at the base of the device. It comes with a USB-C to USB-C cable, but you'll need to supply your own 40W+ power adapter.

The $159 Stand One Max has a design similar to the Stand One, but it also includes an Apple Watch charging puck. It can charge an iPhone, AirPods, and Apple Watch at the same time. As with the Stand One, a USB-C cable is included, but a power adapter is not.

Both chargers are available in either silver or carbide, and they support charging an iPhone in portrait or landscape orientation. In landscape mode, StandBy is supported.

The Qi2 Stand One and Stand One Max are available from the Nomad website as of today.

I have two Nomad chargers and two much cheaper Meifigno(?) chargers.
The Nomad is obviously better quality - much heftier, with better materials
But the Meifigno do exactly the same job, have an extra spot on the stand to charge my airpods, and came with a charger.
Much as I'd like these new Nomad options I just can't justify them at the price they're asking.

Does anyone know if there is any difference whatsoever between Qi 2.2 and 25W MagSafe?

Seems like a decent product. But like most of Nomad (i'd had 3 different products from them), expensive. My favorite magsafe all-in-one? Anker Y1811. A little, compact cube that unfolds to charge magsafe iphone, airpods and an apple watch. I have two. around $80 at the warehouse store.

can we get 50 watt magsafe next year? 25 watts is nice, but for things like power banks, where you want it to be attached as short as possible, 50 watts would help to reduce the time of a brick being attached. one other thing, could they possibly add in 2 pogo pins as part of the qi2 / qi3 evolution? if heat and wireless power loss is part of the problem, 2 pogo pins could be part of the solution. some might say "just attach a USBC cable", but that's kind of an issue as well when it comes to a pocketable device, where a USBC cable, even if its short and stout, it make bend and cause problems/issues with ports and such, where 2 pogo pins engineered directly into the magsafe qi2 circle could circumvent those issues by just having direct contact energy transfer, while still having backwards compatibility with classic qi2, but work better/faster for devices that add the 2 pogo pins.

Edit / update - Quadlock and Speck Click Lock should be integrated into the magsafe / Qi2 / Qi3 standards.

The ghost of Steve Jobs appeared to me in a dream, and he personally confirmed that the iPhone 18 Pro will support 1,000 watt MagSafe, and also offer the world's first cellular phone radiant heater. Your wish is granted, long live Jambi!

I have one of these myself since it first came out and been great. I can’t get myself to upgrade for an extra 10w’s to be slightly faster than current 15w. 🤷 I keep trying to justify and tell myself to do it. 😆🤡

I don't think 1000 watts over magsafe would be possible with current technology. USBC can only go up to 240 watts.

But in reality, I think that adding pogo pins could help with the heat and thickness issues. After all, pogo pins transfer energy directly, no wireless energy loss required.

Even mixing it with quadlock tech could help, to really attach a battery beyond just magnets, quadlock would actually hold it securely in place. Or even Speck Click Lock. .. Basically, quadlock and Speck Click Lock should be integrated into the Qi2 / Qi3 standards.

Seems like a good wireless charger. Faster speeds are very welcome. However these chargers are expensive.

Remember when you could pick up a Qi wireless charging pad for £10 from Amazon?...

why are these charger becoming so expensive. I get that a 2-in-1 system needs to have two charging coils and Qi2/magsafe needs magnets around at least one of the coils, but does that really increase the cost tenfold, expecially when a charger is not included (anpther £15+ for a good quality 40 W+ one)?

I always forget to look for chargers at Costco, but this looks great.

To anyone considering getting the silver/white just know that the white on the glass at the front is slightly yellowed compared to the white magsafe magnet area, so it doesn't look as nice as the renders :\
