Non-Apple BT Headphones w Apple TV?

Anyone try non-Apple BT headphones with an Apple TV? Did you have latency issues. Kind of been toying with the idea of getting some Airpods Max but not completely sold, especially at the price. That's probably what I should ultimately go with but I was curious if folks are using headphones from other companies with ATV? And if so, how was it working out?

I use my Sony MX3s with Apple TV and have no issues.

I've used the B&W PX7's, Bose QC 35's and the Sony XM4's with my Apple TV. I had huge lip sync issues with the Sony's, so I returned them. The APM's blow all the others out of the park sound wise, but battery life is lacking compared to the others.

I’ve used IdeaUSA BT headphones with my ATV 4K 1st gen without any issues. I also use my Amazon Echo Buds 2nd gen with no issues.
