I'm trying to stretch the life of my old white macbook until the MBP's are upgraded, but my power adapter just failed. Looked up a new one and ordered. The thing has just arrived and to my surprise it's not an original apple product. I'm a little annoyed because the website did not say this and the pic was of an original adapter. So I'm considering returning it, but thought I'd ask first:

It is apparently the equivalent of the apple 85W charger with an output of 18.5V and 4.6A. I know you can use an original MBP 85W charger for white macbooks without problems, but do you think this goes for copies of the 85W charger too?

Thanks for any help!

not too happy about it either.. But if the original MBP charger can be used for MB, then this should work as well, shouldn't it? Or does the original MBP charger have a special feature allowing it to be used with MBs?
