I enabled Desktop Notifications in gmail settings, and the gchat and new mail notifications show up in the new Notification Center perfectly with Chrome.
This is awesome because Messages.app isn't really good for ghcat, and Mail.app isn't really good for gmail. I found this working with Chrome, but it probably works with Safari too.
Has anyone else found any good non-apple apps that take advantage of notification center?
I can't wait until Fantastical, MS Outlook, Evernote, and DropBox are updated to take advantage of notification center. Also, it would be cool if we can put widgets in there like on iOS.
