Hey everyone,

I have been trying to get rid of the brushed metal look in Safari 2 and replace it with a nice unified tool/titlebar. However, every program and script that I try leaves the bookmark and tab bar with ugly white aqua pinstripes. I have seen screenshots of Safari 2 with total unified toolbar look that stretches down to the tabs bar. How is this possible?

Thanks for any response.

Or download and install UNO, which will apply the smoothed toolbar to every window, without requiring something like ShapeShifter (thus free). Try it out!

llama :)

I'm personally kinda interested in the UNO thing.
However, after trying it is there any way to remove it if i change my mind?
The product site was pretty unclear on that part.

Yes, it comes with a very simple and straightforward uninstaller. There's no restart to do, it's just quick and yeah...

Whoa, UNO works really well. Very nice. Now I have to get used to all this unified UI stuff. One thing I already don't like is the menu bar, it is too dark under UNO. But besides that, UNO is very nice. So is this what most people want to see out of the box in 10.5?

UNO is the shizzle...
Indeed, thanks to Flying Llama for posting that link. I just downloaded it and I'm using it... it makes everything to bright, airy, and clean looking! *dreamy look* Sigh. So pretty. :D

Oooh Uno is niiiice!!

But if you don't want to use Uno, you can just check the "Unified Toolbar Look" checkbox in Interface Builder when you're editing the Safari NIB to take out the metal.

The iridium brought everything I ever wanted into Safari, Finder, and iChat. I hope this is what 10.5 could do system wide.
