Hi people!

My MBP battery has finally popped.

I'm looking at replacements and I've seen that non-oem/ 3rd party batteries have power at 75WHR, whereas oem are 60.

I've read that the new unibody MBP batteries, by Apple, are also 75.

Would it be okay to assume these 3rd party batteries are a higher spec due to improvements in technology? Or are they pushing limits that might shorten the battery life and, potentially, damage the laptop?

I'm pretty desperate for a battery now so I need to make a decision on trying the new units or go with OEM.

Thanks

Matt

I wouldn't risk my MBP by putting a battery in it that I didn't get from Apple. If it's defective and damages my MBP, Apple would be responsible.
