Hi,
Just got a new Mac and have been getting into Yosemite, after sticking with Snow Leopard for many years.
An annoying problem I have is that I want the resolution set to 1360 x 768. But I only get like 3 choices, so I have to use the alt button to bring up extended resolutions, which I then do and change it to 1360 x 768.
Fine, but when I shut down and start up again the next day, the login screen is fine, but after that the screen goes blank and the only way I can get the screen back up is to unplug and replug the minidisplay port lead.
I then see that it has changed the resolution to 1080p and I have to fanny around to get it back again.
I use the MDP - VGA because when I use HDMI I get the 'no volume control' issue, plus it looks like arse through HDMI.
Any ideas?
Bonus question: I want to use my 'computer' destination as a shortcut button on the top of the finder window, so when I'm in the finder I can click on it to view my attached drives etc. Now I can set it as the destination for opening finder, but can't seem to add it as a shortcut, no matter where I try to drag it from.
