Looking to get a secondary computer. A base MacBook Pro non-TB. Anyone know what the cheapest price for these are now? 128/256GB and 8GB will suffice.

Also, do you think this will still be better (spec wise) than the rumored new MB Airs or whatever they call it when announced in the coming weeks/months?

Thanks in advance!

Check out B&H Video, they've been having the cheapest price around and to my knowledge, don't charge sales tax. The downside with them, is they have no returns, if you change your mind.

Thanks for the heads up. I looked at both BestBuy and B&H. B&H is cheaper buy about $36 with tax incl in BB with the current sale and student deals. I'll pony up the extra $36 for convenience and 45 day return window via my BB rewards membership.

Just hope it lasts long enough for the new MacBook Air? announcements.

Your best bet is to check out the refurbished machines Apple is selling. Then check local stores and online merchants for sales. Finally, buy used from Craigslist.

From quick google search, it seems that refurbs are exactly the same price as "NEW" on B&H.
