With apple announcing only upgrades to the Touch Bar MacBook Pro, it seems like they are only updating the computers that cost more than $1800. The non-touch bar MacBook Pro has not been updated since June 2017. Is there any reason to think Apple will update the non-touch bar MacBook Pro?

I am giving thought about selling my 2017 non-touch bar MacBook Pro and updating to the 2018 MacBook Air because of it's better keyboard and Touch ID.

I can't see Apple doing anything with the non Touch Bar model. That was just put there as a cheaper model. Apple won't make money on those machines as they don't consider them "pro enough".
