Well I happily made the switch to :apple: in Sep of '06 and have never looked back. Just recently I finally brought my 1g MB into the '08's by upgrading that teeny 60gb HD to a 250gb($98 shipped from eBay, although it's still a 5400rpm, I got a 7200rpm 500gb ext) and now have 2gb RAM after some generous MB-Pro owner decided to upgrade theirs to 4 and give me their "scraps" :p

Funny thing is I first got the MB 'cause I heard it could run Windows, but have yet to install bootcamp or XP... really there's only a couple of programs that I'd use it for, at my old job I needed to use MS Access which isn't available for OS X.

The big reason for the HD upgrade is I have about 8 full 60min mini-DV's that I want to edit: 5 from west coast roadtrip and 3 from study abroad in Europe, one full mini-DV is about 40-60gb uncut, so in order to edit, lol, it woulda taken up the whole old HD...

Another excuse for loading XP on here though is to see the difference b/w iMovie and the Windows editing software that came with my Panasonic PV-GS300, since the only way to import to iMovie is via FW400 which only comes in, in real-time(not sure if there's a way to do it USB, although I'm sure w/ the file size it would take just as long as FW400 if not longer).

But back to my almost 2yr love of all that is Mac and hopefully a Mac Pro in the near future to stay at my desk while the MB continues to travel the world with me... so far it's been through about 20 states and 8 countries

And oh yea, learning how to do anything and everything on this so that I never have to use that AppleCare extended plan(and should probably cash it in while it still has some value, although now, it's probably worth more to keep than to cash in the remaining 1yr 3months)
