I'm in Afghanistan so not to many mac people here. I have been having a lot of issues lately with all kinds of stuff, I believe I have created most of them. I have a macbook pro OS 10 10.6.7. I needed to run a windows program so I have VMfusion with windows 7, really don't need any more. I have lots of movies I convert to mp4 format-no issues. I got a new 500gig iomega portable hard-drive. Worked good for a while but now it ejects itself whenever it feels like and I get the nasty message that it was improperly eject when I did nothing. The other problem is when I try to eject it it says something is using and will not eject. The hard drive was pre loaded for mac. But I did find something that said toshiba on it so I think someone else bought and returned it. Next problem when converting movies to mp4 format the hard drive is eject I send the 1/2 converted movie to trash I try to delete that move and it tells me that something else is using and will not delete it, I have logged out and back in shut down and still same message every time. Another issue is when I try to play a windows based movie. I was always told it was not correct format, which is good. But now when I click on any movie avi or mp4, VM fusion opens and tries to play the movie on the windows side pain in the. I know have to right click on mp4's and tell them to play on quick time. I'm not sure how long I have this folder but I noticed I also have under system preferences-other these two programs which I don't think I use MacFuse and NTFS for Mac OS X. Any help would be great. Have been looking for days online on how to fix any of this. Oh yea a guy told me there is a p.c. virus on my thumb drive that I use to pass info around. Thats about all the problems i'm having thought i got a mac to avoid problems oh well...
