Hi all,

I am playing with Live Lite 6 (planning to buy the full version as soon as I get a more powerful computer) and have a very stupid question: I am pretty sure the answer is very simple so forgive my newbieness.

I have a midi file of a song I would like to play with in Live: if I drag the file to Garageband, a number of tracks would appear with the several software instruments used, each having its own midi information.
If I drag the same file to Live (or select it from the browser) only one midi track is created, containing a single path of midi information for all of the different instruments.

Is there a way to have Live recognize that the one midi file actually contains information for more than a midi track?
I assume so, since it automatically happens in Garageband!
Can anyone help?

Thanks!

:)
